Steve is a Practice Director of H5, a San Francisco-based company that delivers customized solutions to help corporations and law firms meet their legal discovery, compliance, and information management objectives. He has worked as a lawyer, recruiter, and provider of services to the legal industry for 25 years. Steve joined H5 from the executive search firm Korn Ferry International, where he conducted national searches for general counsels, law firm partners, and executives. Prior to working at Korn Ferry, he was a legal executive search consultant for Highland Partners (now part of Heidrick & Struggles), and prior to that he founded his own legal recruiting and contract lawyer business in San Francisco called The Tiro Company. Steve was a business litigator with the former San Francisco law firm Landels Ripley & Diamond, and worked for many years as regional vice president for the American Arbitration Association, the world’s largest provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he graduated as a Tony Patiño Fellow. He is the Chairman of the Board of The Tony Patiño Fellowship.
