Nathan Christiansen

Nathan is an associate in the litigation department at the Portland, Oregon office of Perkins Coie LLP. He works on a variety of complex business disputes, including antitrust, intellectual property, corporate governance, securities, and business tort litigation, in both state and federal court. Nathan also advises organizations and elected officials on issues of political and election law. He maintains an active pro bono practice, working with individuals and non-profit organizations on constitutional and other issues.

Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Nathan served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Posner of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and as an intern for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois. Prior to entering the legal field, he worked as a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and taught fourth grade in Atlanta through the Teach For America program.

Nathan is a Tony Patiño Fellow from the University of Chicago Law School, where he received his J.D., served as an editor for The University of Chicago Law Review, and graduated with high honors in 2008. Nathan received his B.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University, where he graduated with honors in 2001.
